ALTIUS Communications Awarded Top Honors from Motorola & Ceragon

June 2011 ALTIUS Communications, leading global provider of microwave broadband solutions and accessories, today announced the award of a five-year State of Maryland contract for providing state agencies with information technology (IT) and telecommunications products and professional services.

ALTIUS Communications was awarded top honors by Motorola Solutions by being named part of the Pinnicle Club for 2010 and was named a Top 10 VAR Partner by Ceragon Networks. The awards were presented to Jim Connor, President of ALTIUS at Partner meetings in Punta Mita Mexico for Motorola and Las Vegas Nevada for Ceragon.

Mike DiVenti, Vice President of Channels at Motorola presnted the award to ALTIUS at a celebration in Mexico for Pinnicle Award winners. Jim commented "When ALTIUS joined the Motorola team as a VAR in 2005, we had high hopes for a great and long lasting partneship because of Motorola's extensive product line and industry experience, but they have surpassed all our expectations as a valuble business partner and vendor".

Mr. Connor added, "ALTIUS is already on the front edge of all new Motorola product releases and is leading the charge for Motorola in the Federal and Military markets. Our focus on customer service and on time delivery should extend ALTIUS's growth even further."

ALTIUS Communications Turnkeys Microwave
Project for Caroline County, MD

ALTIUS Communications is pleased to announce that it was awarded a turnkey licensed microwave project by Caroline County, MD. ALTIUS successfully completed construction of the licensed back haul network in early April 2011 using equipment provided by Ceragon Networks.

Caroline County's High-Speed Network delivers reliable broadband connectivity to all government buildings in the county with unprecedented dependability, flexibility and bandwidth. This was the second licensed microwave project completed by ALTIUS for the county.

"Providing a first class and dependable back haul network for our internal goverment customers is always paramount in our overall network strategy" said Jim McCormick , Director of the IT Dept. for the county. "Caroline County is committed to creating and maintaining a cutting edge network that delivers 100% of the time. ALTIUS helps us do that."

Jim Connor, President and CEO of ALTIUS Communications said "Caroline County wanted a robust licensed back haul network and we were eager to help them achieve this goal. We chose Ceragon Networks to provide 18 GHZ microwave radios using 6 ft and 2 ft microwave dishes to help us accomplish this mission."

"We looked at many different factors before deciding to partner with Ceragon," said Connor. "We needed to build a network to support the county that was capable of providing QOS, high bandwidth and allow us to work in a protected frequency band. We also required the equipment we chose to be able to grow with the countyand allow future bandwidth upgrades via software downloads. Ceragon met the challenge."
